In 2014 a woman in Céline’s painting class metioned that her son was teaching at a bible college in Malawi, but also was working with the people in Timbala Village. One of his goals was to provide the people there with clean water. After talking with him, Céline agreed to raise funds for a well in the village. After a short period of time, in 2015, Creative Reflections was able to raise all the money that was required.

Water to 40 Villages

In 2022, our ministry partner in Malawi began working to help communities in the area where he lives to have access to potable water. Most of the water is not drinkable and not good to water plants either. As a saving grace, the area has a huge mountain nearby that has rivers that flow all year round. There’s a huge water supply that goes to a larger city from the mountain, which is over 150 km away. The pipe passes many villages, to go to that main city. Our ministry partner received permission to tap into this pipe to bring water to other villages of the Mulanje area.

Using funds provided primarily from Creative Reflections, our partner was able to purchase pipes with the local villagers help to lay, 18 inches in depth to bring water to over 40+ villages.

The people in these villages are mainly using the water for domestic purposes, and efforts are being made to teach the villagers how to use the water for irrigation, or bottle it for sale, which will help them to become self-sustaining.

In addition to the pipes for the 40+ villages, Creative Reflections, provided mosquito netting to residents of several villages to curb contraction of malaria, and also helped finance a medical mobile unit to provide prenatal care to pregnant mothers and do small surgeries in remote areas.
